While at Paramount, I oversaw production of many 360° campaigns for original series on Paramount+ and Showtime. My team managed large crews, multiple sets, and A-list talent to deliver award-winning key art, motion, and social content. Whether on a sound stage or on location in remote environments, these productions present their own unique challenges.

1923 Season 1 is a great example.

Following the massive success of 1883, 1923 S1 was the largest marketing campaign to date for Paramount+. The creative included key art, portrait, and period photography, along with several motion concepts for DOOH, social, and linear placements. Key assets were captured in one high-volume production day at the Dutton Ranch location outside Butte, Montana, where we ran five simultaneous sets (three photo, two motion). With no local studio space, we constructed a large structural tent for interior setups. With a limited local production base, we sourced crew and equipment from LA, Salt Lake City, Bozeman, and Missoula. Working with show teams - including glam, costumes, props, animal wranglers, transportation, and locations - our crew count was 200+.

Our execution of a complex production plan made it possible to capture all assets in one 15-hour day. We later extended the campaign with secondary motion shoots in LA and New York, and conducted cast interviews in Butte, Los Angeles, and Malta.

Key Art and Portraits

Photographer James Minchin captured the cinematic key art and character portraits, working inside our custom-built studio and across the landscapes of the Dutton Ranch. Designed to establish the dramatic, premium tone of the series, these setups delivered the campaign’s core launch imagery, including an exclusive Vanity Fair first look featuring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren.
